Research theme: Effect of reproductive and functional traits of the threatened plant species on the population stability under the climate changes

Hypothesis. Functional and reproductive traits of certain plant species lose their adaptive effect on their survival because of the habitat loss, their fragmentation and alterations of the structure, as well as because of the climate changes

 

The aim of  this study is to evaluate effect of functional and reproductive traits on the stability of populations of endangered plant species

 

 

Objectives:

  1. To determinate environmental factors affecting the state of populations of endangered plant species.
  2. To evaluate the effect of environmental factors on the functional and reproductive traits of plants.
  3. To investigate the effect of functional plant traits on the reproductive characteristics and efficiency of reproduction.
  4. To develop guidelines for the conservation of populations of endangered plant species under the climate changes.
