Study period: 2017-10-01 – 2021-09-30

Research theme: Surf zone-beach-foredune interaction on natural and human-altered coast

Short annotation (the aim, objectives)

Research aim is to determine how the changing external factors create the feedback processes in interaction of particular coast elements (=surf zone-beach-foredune), how these feedback processes stabilise the coastal system.

Research objectives:

  1. To determine patterns of sand sediments exchange between surf zone, beach and foredune in different time scale.
  2. To evaluate human factor to the exchange of sand sediments between sea and coast.
  3. To determine what kind of coast stabilising mechanisms emerge due the changing environment.
