Dr. I. Vepštaitė-Monstavičė and Dr. R. Stanevičienė participated in the 28th international conference “Food Micro 2024”

On 8-11 July 2024, two researchers of the Laboratory of Genetics,  Dr. Iglė Vepštaitė-Monstavičė and Dr. Ramunė Stanevičienė attended the 28th International Conference “Food Micro 2024” organised by the International Committee on Food Microbiology and Hygiene in Burgos (Spain). The conference mainly featured presentations on a wide range of microbiota research, food microbiological safety, microplastic-microbiome interactions, mycology, and state-of-the-art food safety and research methods.

Two poster presentations were given at the conference: “Unveiling the epiphytic microorganisms of rosehip and rowanberry and their volatile organic compounds profiles” (Iglė Vepštaitė-Monstavičė, Juliana Lukša, Violeta Apšegaitė, Raimondas Mozūraitis, Robertas Lisicinas, Ramunė Stanevičienė, Saulius Serva, Elena Servienė) and “Inactivation of bacteria and fungi using bioactive nanoparticles” (Ramunė Stanevičienė, Iglė Vepštaitė-Monstavičė, Evelina Lazickytė, Jolanta Sereikaitė, Elena Servienė).
