International Training Workshops for Students within the AQUAEra Project

From 23 to 25 September, training workshops were held for bachelor’s degree students from the Malta College of Arts, Science and Technology (MCAST) and the Department of Biological Engineering – Environment and Eco-Technology at IUT de La Roche-sur-Yon, Nantes Université, France.

Participants had the opportunity to learn about the genotoxicity and cytotoxicity studies conducted within the project “AQUAEra – Turning Urban Wastewater into Clean Water and Renewable Energy in an Era of Increasing Water Stress ” The training also introduced participants to the characteristics of bioindicator organisms and their role in environmental assessment, as well as other research activities carried out within the project. By combining theoretical knowledge with practical activities, the workshops provided participants with a better understanding of the research methods used in the project and their application in environmental studies.

The AQUAEra project (Project No. S-WATER4ALL-26-1) is funded by the Research Council of Lithuania (LMTLT) under the European Partnership Water4All, which is co-funded by the European Union’s Horizon Europe programme (Contract No. 101060874).
