Nature Research Centre‘s scientists at international conference “Rodens et Spatium”

On May 18–22, the 18th International Conference Rodens et Spatium was held at Vytautas Magnus University, bringing together scientists studying rodents from around the world. The main purpose of the conference is to bring together researchers, scientists, veterinarians, ecologists, and other experts to exchange knowledge and the latest research in the fields of rodent biology, ecology, medicine, and care, as well as to promote interdisciplinary collaboration and seek solutions to current challenges involving rodents.

Researchers from the Laboratory of Mammalian Ecology of State Scientific Research Institute Nature Research Centre participated in the conference with both oral and poster presentations. Head of Laboratory of Mammalian Ecology, Dr. (HP) Linas Balčiauskas delivered the opening plenary lecture entitled “Detecting Change Before it Matters: Lessons from Long-Term Small Mammal Communities.”

Poster presentations were delivered by researchers from Laboratory of Mammalian Ecology Laima Baltrūnaitė, Neringa Kitrytė, Vitalijus Stirkė, and PhD student Bastien Mullard. Bastien Mullard’s poster presentation was recognized as the Best Poster Presentation.
