On 15 January 2025, presentations of the candidates for the position of the Director of the Nature Research Centre took place in the Conference Hall of the Nature Research Centre (Akademijos St. 2). Candidates had an opportunity to present their visions and answer questions from NRC community.
Four candidates applied for NRC Director position and presented summaries of their activity guidelines:
Prof. Rr. Kęstutis Arbačiauskas (Kęstučis Arbačiauskas’ guidelines summary),
Dr. Vaidotas Lygis (Vaidotas Lygis’ guidelines summary),
Dr. Ričardas Paškauskas (Ričardas Paškauskas’ guidelines summary),
Prof. Dr. Sigitas Podėnas, Academician of Lithuanian Acad. Sci. (Sigitas Podėnas’ guidelines summary).
The event was moderated by Laura Janulaitienė.
The first part of the event was devoted to the presentation of ideas and visions by each candidate (15 minutes).
In the second part of the event, the candidates answered questions from NRC community. All candidates were given the same questions.

The competition for the position for NRC Director was organised by the Ministry of Education, Science and Sport of the Republic of Lithuania. A new Director of the Centre will be elected by a commission composed of representatives of different organisations.
