Research topic: „Potential of probiotic products to neutralize herbicide-induced stress in plants, aiming to reduce herbicide use in agrotechnology“.
The aim of the research is to assess the possibilities of reducing the phytotoxic effects of synthetic auxin herbicides on agricultural plants (wheat and rapeseed) and weeds by applying plant probiotic products (microbial biostimulants).
Objectives:
1) to select active ingredients from the synthetic auxin herbicides available on the market that cause the greatest stress on agricultural plants and weeds, using visual symptoms, morphological, biochemical markers of oxidative stress, and gene expression assessment;
2) to assess the potential of plant probiotic products to mitigate the effects of selected herbicides on agricultural plants and weeds under laboratory and field conditions;
3) to assess the positive impact of microorganisms contained in probiotic preparations on agricultural plants and weeds affected by herbicides, including active and neutralized probiotic products in the research.
