Research interests
My research interests revolve around the taxonomy, phylogeny and ecology of parasitic helminths and other symbionts of molluscs and fish. Currently, my focus is on the diversity and life cycles of freshwater fish blood flukes, which are poorly studied worldwide. Hence, my research is aimed at providing comprehensive morphological descriptions and assessing genetic variations, species richness, infection parameters and life cycles of freshwater fish blood flukes from Lithuania and South Africa, representing distinct bioregions.
