Research interests

I focus on the biology and ecology of aquatic invasive species, with particular emphasis on understanding their invasive potential at the population level, ecological impacts, and trophic strategies, especially in crustaceans. I am also interested in the broader patterns that shape macroinvertebrate community structure and how these communities respond to biological invasions. My work frequently incorporates geospatial analyses to identify distribution patterns, environmental drivers, and potential pathways of spread. I am particularly interested in the ecology of invasive species in freshwater and brackish environments.
