NRC Begins Developing Its New Strategy: community is invited to get involved

The State Scientific Research Institute Nature Research Centre (NRC) is embarking on an important phase in its organizational development – the process of developing its 2026–2031 strategy. The strategy is being developed as an open and inclusive process, so we invite NRC community members to actively participate – to suggest ideas, raise relevant questions, set priorities, and vote for the most important proposals.

23rd Conference of European Association of Vertebrate Palaeontologists

From 29 June to 5 July 2026, Vilnius will host the 23rd Conference of European Association of Vertebrate Palaeontologists (hybrid format)—the most important international scientific event in this field in Europe. The conference will feature scientific presentations, poster sessions, a workshop, discussions, and an exhibition of palaeontological art.

11th International Simuliidae Symposium is being organized in Vilnius

The 11th International Simuliidae Symposium is being organized in Vilnius, bringing together scientists from all over the world who study blackflies, their diversity, biology, systematics, transmitted pathogens, and the control opportunities. These symposia are organized every two years and are a great opportunity for scientists from around the world to meet, exchange information about the latest scientific discoveries, and develop cooperations. The event is organized by scientists of the Nature Research Centre and Vilnius University.
