Studies of coastal changes on the Lithuanian Baltic Sea coast are carried out by repeated leveling of cross-shore profiles using Global Navigation Satellite System (GNSS) Topcon HiPer SR. On the ground of comparison of cross-shore profiles the changes in coastline position and sand volume are determined. The grain-size distributions were determined by sieving. Nearshore sea-bed morphology is measured using Humminbird SOLIX 15 SI GPS multibeam echosounder. The morphometric changes and dynamics of nearshore sandbars are determined. Also the impact of natural (sea level, storms, wind regime, vegetation) and human (engineering structures, recreation) factors on the dynamics of the shores are evaluated.
