Studies on aquatic fauna populations, population dynamics and feeding relationships; fish stock assessment; studies on fisheries management, fisheries conflicts and their socio-economic aspects; studies on invasive species; studies of fish communities for the assessment of the ecological status of water bodies; the impact of climate change on fish communities; the impact of salinity on the growth and behaviour of freshwater fish; the status of eel populations in Lithuania and throughout the range of distribution; the application of otolith microchemistry to the understanding of fish migrations.
