Research interests

My research is in the field of molecular and traditional systematics, host specificity, distribution and life cycles of parasites of wild animals. The main research interests are:
1. Systematics, phylogeny, biology and distribution of helminths (primarily trematodes) of wild animals.
2. Elucidation of the roles of marine and freshwater molluscs in trematode transmission.
3. Morphological and molecular approaches in delineation and identification of species of parasites.
4. Interactions between parasites and their hosts and the evolution of complex life cycles.
